During the planning and design phase, two major issues will be addressed: design concepts and a budget. Our unique "design-build" methods allow us to design and budget your home at the same time. Once this phase is complete, you will be on your way to construction. The first step in the construction process is to settle on a plan or "design concept." We accomplish this by first creating a conceptual floor plan and elevation. The conceptual floor plan and elevation are based on your ideas. Whether they are derived from multiple magazine clips, pictures and a sketch, or just a few ideas, Concept Construction will produce your conceptual drawings. Once we have completed your conceptual designs, a meeting will be scheduled to finalize the floor plan and elevation. This meeting typically takes one to three hours. At this point, your home plan has been incorporated into our CAD software so that we are able to determine all item locations and dimensions with precision. During the meeting, your design concepts will be projected onto our display screen so that you can observe each change and how it affects your home. By the end of the meeting, you will have the final floor plan and elevation concepts on paper for final review. Once the final floor plan and elevation concepts have been approved, the electrical design concepts and construction details will be drafted. We will have one last meeting to be sure everything is exactly the way you desire it. At the end of this meeting, all of your construction details and design concepts will be complete and you will know the exact cost of your new home. |
